MARCH MADNESS HAS ARRIVED!

CELEBRATING OUR 21st YEAR!  The only two day tournament in the Tampa Area providing a true intramural basketball competition for youth with troubled backgrounds, emotional and behavioral issues.

DAY ONE: THE GAMES, HOSTED AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TAMPA!

Join us for incredible skills, slam dunks, layups and more.  It's intense competition, teamwork, individual achievement, original artwork, essays, cheerleading & much more!  Prepare to be amazed!

The qualifications for entry are strict for these students, and the each must work hard all year long to become eligible to compete---attendence and behavior standards are all taken into account to qualify.

In addition to the basketball event, the students also compete in the form of an Art & Essay competition. The students look forward all year long to show off their talents and skills. It is a truly transformational and life-changing event for these kids.  Come and join us!

Day two - The Champions Awards Luncheon!  The day after the games, students enjoy exclusive fine dining at the historic Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City, where they receive awards and hear from celebrity speakers and community leaders.  (The banquet is a private event, open to students, faculty and invited guests only)

We are proud to announce this year's motivational speaker to be a former March Madness participant and Tampa Bay native, Thomas Silver. Thomas was once a foster child and with the efforts of the Children's Home, Success 4 Kids & Families and his own hard work and determination found an outlet through sports. After joining Davis Elementary School, he was quickly adopted by his coach, Elyse Silver and earned his place to participate in our March Madness Tournament. Thomas boasts about his 3.5 GPA and is currently on the football and basketball teams at Admiral Farragut Academy, where he plans to play basketball next year before going on to college.
