SED Network

Created by the Florida Legislature in 1981, SEDNET was designed to prevent children in the state of Florida from entering psychiatric hospitals both in and outside of the state. Currently, SEDNET is funded by the Florida Department of Education using both state general revenue and federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act funds to facilitate a coordinated system of care for children with severe emotional disturbance and their families.
