Deputy Executive Director
Currently the Deputy Executive Director of Success 4 Kids & Families, since April of 2000. S4KF is a not for profit agency following system of care principles that provides community based services to families of children with emotional disturbances.
Mr. Mayo has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 1982. He has held a variety of positions since graduating from Antioch University in 1980 with a master’s degree in Developmental Clinical Psychology.
Positions included Counseling Supervisor at the Adolescent Day Treatment Program at USF, Family Builders Therapist, Children’s Clinical Case Manager, Case Review Committee Chairperson, Human Rights Advocacy Committee Member, Clinical Consultant to Department of Child and Family Studies at Florida Mental Health Institute – University of South Florida, Board of Directors-Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health, Chair Policy & Prevention Committees-Juvenile Justice Board 13th Judicial Circuit in Tampa, along with a private practice working with children and families.
John has been married for 30 years and has raised two children and is a proud grandfather.
